Sul Ross Rio Grande College & First State Bank of Uvalde Partner for Scholarships
First State Bank of Uvalde and Sul Ross Rio Grande College recently signed a unique agreement for a scholarship with a revolutionary new requirement. In addition to the traditional scholarship criteria, students applying for the $2000 per year scholarship will be required to take a Financial Literacy Class offered by First State Bank. The Financial Literacy Class will be taught by employees of the Bank and will cover elements of spending control, budgeting, and financial planning.

Consumer Debit Card Notice – Effective October 17, 2014
MasterCard® Changes Rule Regarding Zero Liability for Unauthorized Use
MasterCard® Zero Liability for unauthorized transfers will apply to all transactions including PIN-based and POS transfers. To be covered by the zero liability limitation under the revised rule, promptly report a loss or theft after becoming aware. The new rule eliminates the $50 liability limitation that applies under the current MasterCard® rule if the conditions for zero liability aren’t met. You must exercise reasonable care in safeguarding your card from loss or theft. If the MasterCard® conditions for zero liability aren’t met, the Regulation E limitations will apply, as established by law and disclosed in the Your Deposit Account Brochure. MasterCard® changes become effective on October 17, 2014.
